Art competition – A celebration of our Key workers
In Britain, we are so fortunate that our key workers are keeping our country running. Farmers, transport workers, nurses, pharmacists, doctors, teachers, teaching assistants, bin men, politicians, emergency service staff, carers, office staff, volunteers and retail workers…the list is endless. It has been beautiful to see the colourful posters and rainbows that adorn the windows of our neighbourhoods. At Allesley Primary School, we would like to celebrate the efforts of these heroes by creating a display of art work that expresses our appreciation of all of those workers, in our country and around the world. So get your creative heads on Allesley families because we’re launching our latest Art Competition!
We would like to see a range of different ideas and images that represent the hard work of our key workers. The final piece should be flat and can be A5, A4 or A3 in size. Your art work can be in any media, for example: pencil, crayons, felt tips, ink, paint, collage, sewing, knitting and printing.
The children can bring their final pieces in when we return to school, but photographs may be emailed to Mrs Shenton at firstname.lastname@example.org, in the meantime. Mrs Hoey will help to choose winners and our finalists will have their work copied and sent out to some of the key workers in our local community.
We look forward to seeing your creations.
xx Stay safe and stay well, Mrs Shenton and Mrs Hoey xx
