SPELLINGS

This week, I'd like you to watch the Oxford Owl video - I know how much you all love that little alien! laugh - and learn the words for next week!  Mrs Callaway's group - I'd still like you to watch this and practice these words, but you will be tested on your own words, so focus on them! yes

ENGLISH

Today, I would like you to finish your persuasive letters, if you haven't already.   Then, please edit them and write them up neatly.  Remember to check your Success Criteria to ensure you have included all of the relevant features.

Reading comprehension - Joe Biden. Complete the attached reading comprehension, choosing either the 1, 2 or 3 star version, 1 star being the easiest. Please remember to use full sentences to answer - using part of the question to begin the answer. Focus on capital letters too - some people are still not using them!

As with the last couple of days, I have added a My Maths lesson to today's maths, so that you can have a go at this again.  I have also left up the original lesson for those of you who feel confident with this.  Please let me know if you have been doing the original White Rose Maths lessons, and how you found them! smiley

Comparing and ordering fractions - differentiated worksheets to support lesson. Have a go at these - start simple to build your confidence, and work your way through them.

GAMES

Right, it's that time again!!  Get your joggers and trainers on and get outside, if you can!  Go for a bike ride, a jog, or just a long dog walk and a kick around with the ball.  But whatever you choose, get your heart rate pumping and let's do some exercise!

Have fun and have a great weekend, Year 5.  yes

Cooking / Baking

Why not have a go at making something for dinner either tonight or tomorrow?

Find a simple recipe that you can help your parents make for dinner, and start planning and preparing it!

It may be something simple, like a spaghetti bolognaise, or a home made pizza.  Or you might decide to make a cheesecake or some other sweet treat for after dinner!

Either way - send us your recipes and a photo of the finished article!!

Have fun!! smiley
