Here are the resources you need for each of your lessons today. Don't forget to also spend some time on TT Rockstars and do some reading today.

Spelling

What is our spelling rule this week? What happens when the root word ends in a t or an e? Write down or create a video explaining the rules for our ‘ssion’ words?

discussion           permission        confusion          impression      submission

admission           possession         progression      depression      transmission

Guided Reading

Make sure you pause the video so that you can answer the questions in your book then press play to go through the answers. Remember to write your answers in full sentences and check your answers.

Don't look at the answers until you have finished answering them yourselves.

Maths
Art

Today we will be drawing and decorating our own Irish Shamrocks, in celebration of St Patrick's Day.

First you must draw the outline of your shamrock, making sure it is nice and big so you have enough space to decorate on the inside. Once you have drawn your outline, you can select your own technique to decorate your dragon - you might choose the Pointillism technique, or you may choose to use collaging, sketching techniques, paint, crayons or even materials you find in your garden (leaves, sticks, grass, etc). There are a few examples of techniques you could use to decorate your shamrock below and you are free to choose the one that you prefer.  Feel free to be as creative as you like and please remember to email some of your marvellous creations to us so that we can share your wonderful artwork!  Have Fun Year 4 and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Something to remember... the colour used the most on St Patrick's Day is green, so maybe you could use lots of different shades of green when designing your shamrock.
