You need to remember if the word is a verb (e.g you can put a ‘to’ in front of it and it is something that can happen) then the word has an s.
If the word is a noun (a thing and you can place a determiner in front of it e.g the, a , an, this ,that, one etc) then it will be spelt with a c .
