Policies and Governance

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

You may be aware that from May 2018, the rules around data protection have changed. The ‘General Data Protection Regulation’ (GDPR) has changed how we can use your personal data and keep it safe, and has also strengthened your rights over your own data.

The point of this is to make sure sensitive or private information about yourselves and your children stays safe. Whilst it is similar to the previous Data Protection Act in many ways, there are a few differences.
One of these changes is that we have updated our privacy notice. Please see the document attached below.

We have sought consent for using photos and videos of your child for various purposes. We will do this when your child starts at the school, but it is the responsibility of parents or guardians to let us know of any changes to consents and permissions. If at any time you wish to review your child’s preferences please contact the school office team and we will be happy to assist you. If you do not complete the original  form we will assume that you do not consent to any images of your child being used in any capacity.

If you have any questions about how the GDPR affects you, or how our school is managing GDPR, you can contact Jo Shenton in the school office.

Our DPO (Data Protection Officer) is SchoolPro TLC Limited and is contactable via DPO@SchoolPro.uk. Their role is to overseeand monitor the school’s data protection procedures and to ensure they are compliant with data protection legislation.
